Words from the Designer
Inspired by the “Kakke Pants” from the 001 collection, I created these shorts that reveal the knees only on the front. They have a 7/8-length cut. The waist is roomy, and the silhouette changes depending on how the fabric gathers at the hips. It’s an unusual shape. They are woven using high-quality natural-colored hemp from Tunisia and extra-thick special paper yarn. Both the hemp yarn and the paper yarn are undyed. Despite their rugged appearance, the paper yarn makes them surprisingly lightweight. This hemp is extremely rare; its natural color is not the grayish hue commonly found on the market, but rather the pure, golden hue inherent to hemp. If you look closely, it shimmers. The fabric becomes softer with each wash and with wear, developing a refined look even when wrinkled.
